TEASER WAGERS
Vegas Intl is the home of the world’s greatest teasers odds. In football, a teaser wager allows you to adjust the point spread in your favor by 6, 6.5,7, or even 10 or 13 points! Whenever you have a two-team teaser, and you have a win and tie your two-team teaser, it‘s considered a push. At most sportsbooks this is considered a loss but NOT at DSI. Plus DSI offers this great advantage: we allow you to tease either totals or sides even in the same game, and even 10 and 13 points!
Example: Denver 49 Final Score: Green Bay 27
Green Bay -11 Denver 21
Taking a 7-point teaser, using Green Bay and the over in the game, you would be a winner on both sides since the final score for wager purposes would be: Green Bay 34, Denver 21. (This teaser pays $100 of $130 risked). When you placed this wager over the phone the operator would read back to you “Green Bay - Denver to go over 42 and Green Bay -4.” You simply add to or subtract from the final score that your team scored according to how you placed your teaser wager. If you took the over in the game, you would actually need the game to go over 42 (49 - 7) to be a winner, and if you took the under as a teaser for 7 points, you need the game to go under 56 (49 + 7). Remember that you can tease totals or sides in one game or with any combination of other games, mix or match, at your will.
Remember, at Vegas, you can mix and match totals and sides for both the NFL and College football and up to 7 pieces, and you do not have to wait until game day to do so. You can play your teasers on Sunday evening when next weeks lines are available.
Why I like Teasers--Small!
Written by: Kirk Halladay, Pickagame Sports Selection Service.
Hello everyone, and let me start off by saying I like betting teasers under two circumstances: When I am playing well, and when I am ahead. Teasers are a great way to play around with the spread, and not have a lot of cash riding on the outcome. If you have $20 to fool around with, teasers can be as much fun as any bet around because YOU get to change the odds. You can still get a solid pay off on two, three, and four team teasers, but the 3 and 4 teamers are not as good as you would think. The odds spiral down against you because the teaser is under a touchdown difference. (Normal 6-point teaser)
Teasers, like any other multiple or odds bet, are NOT what you should play if you are losing, or can't get close to picking 50%. (Many people can pick 50%+, but have the worst betting strategy around, and lose their money far too quickly--even though they ARE picking well). Just take the name--TEASER. The bet teases you into THINKING you have a better chance than you actually do. Since less than 15% of all games in Football actually come within 2 points of the spread, a 6 point swing does NOT increase your odds that much. The house still has a sizeable edge, especially when considering the payout to you if the games hit and win. (Obviously it is in your best interest to shop around and see who/what the best deals are)
Now the tricky part. Winning and having fun gambling with Teasers has to do with the amount of money you are betting. Again, in my opening paragraph, I mentioned the low amount to wager for two reasons. 1)Teasers are there to tease you into LOSING. 2)Teasers can be MORE fun if you keep the bet very small. 3) Parlay bets are better odds and payoffs in the long run, so if you are going to bet them big, go with parlays. 4) Never bet them down or behind.
If nothing else, I want to have fun while I gamble. I do not want to worry about if I can pay next month's rent, or swear at the television during every play. The object is to make money and have fun. Remember, MONEY won is twice as sweet as money EARNED.
Make Teasers Fun and make them work for you! Just one man’s opinion!
